Professional golfer Evan Sanchez, after winning his 82nd championship trophy, gets hit in the head by a golf ball while saving a 6-year-old fan, Elliot Tasker. Upon awakening, he discovers his soul has transferred into Elliot's body. Elliot is the orphaned heir of the old money Tasker family. After his father's death, his mother Lucia and he are marginalized by the family. Uncle Dave and Cousin Greg repeatedly humiliate them, proposing a golf wager to determine the inheritance, betting that Lucia can't play golf. Evan secretly coaches Lucia to win the first round, only for Dave to renege on the bet. The enraged Evan decides to play himself, crushing Greg.
