Samantha Sterling deeply loves Felix Thorne. Believing he has breast cancer, she sells her jewelry and borrows money for his surgery. However, his family runs a pig-butchering scam, stealing her money and forcing her to sign an insurance policy. In despair, Samantha realizes she is the runaway heiress of Sterling Enterprises, whose father is gravely ill. She returns to become CEO, exposes the fraud, and leaves the scammers reaping what was sown. The mother-in-law is arrested, the brother is beaten for gambling debts, and Felix dies of terminal breast cancer. Ultimately, Samantha reunites with her former fiance, a top oncologist, and gets her life back on track.
