Audrey Sterling, heiress of the Sterling family of Highcrest, has been married to Stephen Vance for seven years but could never outshine the one that got away, Vivian Mercer. Catching them kissing on the day Vivian returns, Audrey decides to divorce. Their six-year-old daughter Mia hates to see her parents split and begs for three chances for Stephen. Yet, Stephen only focuses on Vivian and her child Ava, turning all three chances into deep pain for Audrey and Mia. After Audrey leaves with Mia for good, Stephen still accuses them of betrayal. When the truth finally comes out, his regret comes way too late.
