The Langley family regarded one of their twin girls Adela as a jinx due to the ignorant ancestral teachings of "twin sisters jinxing their father". Adela was almost suffocated at birth and later found as a drug guide and substitute for her twin sister Kelly. Adela was imprisoned and tortured for many years. When attending an appointment for her sister, Adela met Frank, who turned out to be the person she saved as a child. But Frank mistakenly identified Kelly as the savior.
