Ordinary worker Evan Carter drinks juice, gains powers from alien technology, and becomes a Knockoff Superman. He is soon dragged into a world-domination plot. The show critiques shallow materialism as people's attitudes toward him change. As power nearly turns him into a puppet, it warns: everything has a price, and free things cost the most.
