Victoria Sterling, The Wealthiest Woman, hides her identity to marry Julian Lockwood. Trusting him completely, she lets him manage her company. But Julian betrays her, having an affair with his secretary, Jessica Mercer, and fathering an illegitimate child, Leo Lockwood. The conflict erupts when Victoria's daughter, Ella Lockwood, is bullied by Leo at school. Adding insult to injury, the other parents accuse Victoria of being a mistress. When Victoria rushes to the school, the actual mistress, Jessica, arrogantly poses as Julian's wife and incites the parents to attack her. Furious, Victoria summons Julian. At the Anniversary Gala, Julian denies the affair until Victoria presents undeniable proof, publicly humiliating him. The truth is finally exposed, and Julian and Jessica are sent to prison.
