Love After the Lie Episode 1 begins with a grim prediction of John Shaw’s upcoming marriage with Miss Long. He’s bound to kill his wife and his child, and the only solution he deems necessary is to find another woman to bear the curse. It’s dark and unexpected but John has no other choice. John succeeds in finding every information about the woman in Love After the Lie Episode 3, and he doesn’t waste a time asking for her hand. Her name is Sadie Wilson, a hard-working student who has no plans of getting involved with a man like him. Terrified of his ruthlessness, Sadie attempts to leave the car, only to force John to make threats about her family.

John’s desperation reaches its darkest point in Love After the Lie Episode 4 when he drags Sadie to her blind grandmother’s stall. He hesitates on extinguishing the first lamp that symbolizes a part of Sadie’s soul. For the first time ever, he feels lost at his own mind. Will John follow through?

Love After the Lie Episode 9 demonstrates John’s devotion to Ms. Long as she joins him at the altar. She unknowingly reminds him of her kindness years ago and the memories are enough to cast out any hesitation. He stamps out the fire on the lamp and Sadie’s time begins to run out. Can Sadie notice the decline of her health and do something to stop it?

Sadie reunites with her grandmother in Love After the Lie Episode 10 and the housekeeper unexpectedly tells her the lore of John’s past and his current life. Upon hearing every tragic detail, Sadie feels tuned to him somehow. The fact that he wants a family, too, makes her determined to give him one. Will her decision favor John and perhaps change his whole perspective for the better?
