Graham Shaw ignores Lily's allergies by spraying perfume. Resentful that Amanda Cole drugged him into a shotgun wedding, he favors Mia, daughter of the one that got away, Victoria Shaw. When Victoria and Mia visit, Mia trips Lily as she carries soup and frames her. Graham jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts and scolds Lily. Mia then steals Lily's toys and takes her room, while Graham blindly forces Lily to give in. Heartbroken, Lily tears up Graham's chance card, leaving him with only two chances.
