A yellowed elementary school graduation photo freezes the moment when the hero, Fuxiao, first felt his heart flutter for Dongmei -- tall and striking among her peers. Years later, the thin-framed Fuxiao still secretly harbored a crush on this gentle, kind-hearted classmate, who stood slightly taller than him. On their way to school, Dongmei would often give him a ride on her bike, weaving through fields of golden rapeseed flowers. Yet this pure, hazy one-sided love was cruelly shattered by a sudden tragic news. In the end, their classmates gathered at her burial site, each holding a white flower, to bid her a silent farewell -- eternally laying to rest their boundless regret and sorrow.
