Five years ago, Lyra Jones became pregnant with Charles Coleman's child. During delivery, she suffered severe hemorrhage and was critical. Charles' subordinate posed as her relative, bribed a nurse, took the twins to Charles, and Lyra was told they didn't survive. Five years later, Lyra was harassed by Raymond Walter in a jewelry store. She pretended to be married with a child and asked her friend Mia Clark to find her a husband. During a blind date at a coffee shop, her conversation with Mia was overheard by Patrick and Andrew Coleman, who posed as the date's children. Charles returned to the shop, discovered the children had replaced the date, and took them away. Raymond suddenly showed up and demanded Lyra repay the money, leading Charles to mistakenly think she was a gold digger. Despite this, Charles married Lyra for the children's sake. While Lyra was buying gifts for Charles' children at the jewelry store, Raymond appeared. Charles helped Lyra handle the situation, and they went home to celebrate the kids' birthdays. Later, Lyra moved in with Charles. One day after work, Raymond attacked Lyra in retaliation, and Charles, who was picking her up, saved her. Raymond's wife later came to the store causing trouble for Lyra but left upset. With Charles' assistance, Lyra signed a contract with Mr. Martin, followed by a KTV celebration. Charles, suspecting Lyra's identity, asked Gavin Brown to investigate. While shopping with Mia, Lyra encountered Charles and Zoe Brown, realizing her feelings for Charles. After Charles clarified Zoe's identity, they returned home, where they met Dennis Coleman. Charles explained the situation to Dennis to protect his identity. While the jewelry store celebrated Lyra's entry into the Coleman Group competition, she discovered Charles' true identity and sought a divorce. Zoe then admitted her feelings for Charles and urged Lyra to leave him. With friends' support, Charles worked tirelessly to reconcile with Lyra. Meanwhile, Zoe found out Lyra was the children's biological mother, destroyed the evidence, and had Lena Shire pose as their mother. Ultimately, Charles' efforts led Lyra to forgive him while discovering her identity. Later, Lena kidnapped Lyra to threaten Charles, revealing everything to her.

On the night of Seojin's engagement, her stepbrother Dohyun saves her from danger. "Don't go, I'm scared... please..." After that day, the relationship between the two, who had been siblings for 19 years, changes.
