Then, Audrey's ex-boyfriend, Lionel Yates, steps in to claim Ace is his son. Vincent is suspicious but forced to believe it. Because of this, Vincent gives Melody the cold shoulder. To win him back, Melody plans to buy a painting at an auction as a gift for his Nana's birthday banquet. Later, Melody reappears and poisons Audrey and the children, using the antidote to blackmail Vincent into marrying her. Vincent and Audrey play along, exposing Melody's crimes at the engagement ceremony. Melody brings up saving Vincent years ago, but Gabriel Hayes arrives with evidence proving Audrey is the true savior. Finally, Melody is taken away by the police.
