Five years ago, Evelyn Lynch, the daughter of a powerful pharmaceutical tycoon, fell in love with Charles, a factory mechanic. When her inherited leukemia relapsed, her father used her life as leverage, forcing Charles to leave, or he would deny her the transplant that could save her.
