Evelyn was once the beloved human daughter of four mighty Norse god-kings. But when the false saintess Freya framed her, the fathers who raised her chose to believe a liar. They stripped her blessing, tortured her soul, stole her blood, and forced her to beg for death. Only after Evelyn truly dies do they discover the truth: Freya was the monster all along, and Evelyn's real mother has been trapped beneath the World Tree. Now the gods want their daughter back. But the little girl they destroyed no longer wants to return.
