Part 1: Delulu No More after Rebirth Movie Plot Summary
The top families of Hong Kong experienced emotional tornado when the children from three of the most influential families of the city got themselves entangled, fighting over who should marry who. From the Hilton Family to the Rodriguez and the Browns. An adage says that when two elephants fight, it is the ground that suffers the most.
In Delulu No More after Rebirth movie, Diana happened to be the heir and child to the Hilton family, and because the tradition made it that she must be betrothed at puberty, she was betrothed to the blind heir of the Rodriguez family. Now, this was weird, Diana was young and influencable. She felt she’d been mistreated by her family, how could they shackle her to a blind man?
She had more reasons to worry, when her peers took every given opportunity to mock her about her fiancé. Like, which teenager in their right minds would prefer a blind man to all the handsome men in their age range? Because of this, Diana was easily deceived by her best friend —Amy. She glorified Nate, who was handsome and charming compared to her blind fiancé.
Nate was also Damon’s cousin. He was from the part of the Rodriguez family that depended on the rest for survival. Which meant he was a pauper and needed support. Without knowing she was being set up by Amy who was actually Nate’s original girlfriend, Diana fell in the stupid kind of love for Nate. Diana Hilton
Diana was the first female lead of Delulu No More after Rebirth movie. She was 23yrs old and exceptionally pretty. She was the only child and heir of the Hilton family and the Hilton family were the richest family of Hong Kong. She was a spoiled princess, who didn’t understand the cruelty of life. Because she’d grown in opulence and never suffered in her life, she was trusting.
All was well and life was rosy until her betrothed was revealed during her 20th birthday party. How could her parents have shackled her to a blind man? Diana was unblamably offended. Her offense opened the door through which her best friend —Amy, could deceive her into sharing her wealth, until she was murdered along with her fiancé.
Damon Rodriguez
Damon Rodriguez was the first male lead of Delulu No More after Rebirth movie. He was 25yrs old and blind. He was also the heir apparent to the Rodriguez family, which made him the reigning Lord of the family. The Rodriguez family were also among the richest family of the city, they ran a thriving clothing business, and Damon had been trained to designed.
The Hilton family leaders had seen reasons to betroth him to their child. It wasn’t just for physical looks, but for the sake of posterity and sustainability. But what the elders see while sitting down, children can never! Damon understood his predicaments, but since the decision was made by powers greater than his and without their opinion, he was bound to uphold it.
Amy Brown
Amy Brown was the second female lead of Delulu No More after Rebirth movie. She was from a middle class family of Hong Kong and had been privileged to meet Diana when they happened to share a dormitory room in college. She’d also met Nate in college and together they’d fallen in love and were making their way through life as partners.
This wasn’t difficult as they came from the same class in life. But with Diana, Amy saw an opportunity to transform their status in life to a much higher and profitable kind. Especially when they discovered she was to be married into the Rodriguez family. Amy plotted with her boyfriend to bite the finger that feeds them, when she ruined and murdered Diana.
Nate Rodriguez
Nate was the second male lead of Delulu No More after Rebirth movie. He was the same age as Damon, but more handsome and charming. How not? When his physical looks was the only thing he owned in life. It wasn’t difficult to seduce Diana, especially as she was confused and dreading to ever have anything to do with her prearranged fiancé. Diana would fall for his gimmicks…
And through her, he would achieve more than fate had originally destined for him. She took upon herself every responsibility he assigned her. It was important that she proved to him and the entire world that she preferred him over Damon. And Nate cashed out heavily on Diana’s head, gradually transferring her wealth to Amy and his own downtrodden family.
Part 3: Delulu No More after Rebirth Movie Review
Now, Nate was flying high, had acquired an MIT degree which was fully sponsored by the Hilton heir. MIT was an excessively prestigious school and abroad. Not only that, Diana was also dancing to his immediate family’s wishes. In fact, Nate’s mother saw a huge opportunity to change her wardrobes. Her leverage was that Diana was dying to marry her son and she better please her if she was to succeed at it.
Diana gave and gave, until the plan fell into place for Amy and Nate. Damon had been refusing to give Diana a divorce that would annul their betrothal. They therefore convinced Diana to host a party where they connived to invite Damon as a surprise and control Diana’s actions into radically and publicly acquiring the annulment.
During the party, Damon was brought by the inside man who was helping Amy and Nate’s course. And on his arrival, they brought the treasure chest which contained all of Diana’s dowry. There were gold bars, keys to expensive estates, cars and condominiums. There were millions of dollars worth of jewelries and anything else that could set up a life forever! Diana stupidly handed them to Nate and disgraced Damon.
