Part 1: Healing My Mortal Wife First Plot Summary
Healing My Mortal Wife First opened in the immortal realm, where an immortal man was struggling to climb the ladder of leadership. In this world, what mattered were how much a being could cultivate. And as soon as he was in existence, Levi Tran started to cultivate. Successful cultivations were what made a being wealthy and ensured power in this realm.
Not only were cultivations avenues to wealth, they also yielded something the immortals named stones. The cultivation stones were modes of exchange, which meant that having a lot of stones made a man rich. Levi was cultivating successfully, but not enough to be added to the rich. He was yet an unascended spirit and ascension was necessary for spiritual development..
He’d attempted severally to ascend to no avail. In fact, all the high and mighty spirits knew he wouldn’t make it as an ascended. To survive, the unascended spirits needed loans in the immortal realm. While some collected and were able to successfully ascend which helped to repay their debt in cultivations stones, Levi had borrowed until everyone knew he couldn’t pay back.
But the loan shark, seeing he had a chance to enslave Levi’s spirit forever, would hand him a loan of 76 million cultivation stones. With accrued interest of twenty five years. This was unjust, but seeing that he had no money, he would accept. Being a wise man, Levi knew that ascension was going to be difficult and could kill him, he therefore secretly collected a rebirth talisman.
And as expected, he would attempt ascending again after years of cultivation and this time around, he would break away, vomit some blood and die. It was while he was on the ground dying, that the loan shark arrived to enslave his spirit. But Levi transmigrated and arrived in the mortal world. The loan shark had been waiting for days for this moment, he’d even left his place to be hanging like a vulture around Levi’s house. And as soon as he failed and slumped, he would swoop in for the harvest.

He was deep in gambling debt and his time had ran out. The cartel he was a liability to had decided he’d done enough. They handed him to some assassins, who murdered him and dropped his body by the road side. Levi would transmigrate into his body, repair his damages and return to his wife.
