Part 1: When We Meet Again Movie Summary
His name was Raphael Stone. He was the heir of the Stone Corporation and only son to the aging and excessively wealthy Mr. Stone. Mr. Stone loved his son very much, he was his legacy, a child he’d managed to birth at the unset of old age, when he’d only but given up on that aspect of blessings. He would send him to the best schools, hoping to raise a successor.
Raphael was a good son, effortlessly living up to his father’s standards. He was always the richest boy in school, as the Stone Corporation owned half the city of Chicago, including malls, hospitals and many other expensive companies. He would finish high school and go to the university where he met a young lady called Lucy in one of the campus fellowships.
Lucy was a pretty young lady, but it wasn’t just her charm as she was a good Christian who lived up to the rudiments of the Catholic Church. She wasn’t the type of girls who flirted around or partied with older men, or lived recklessly because they were young and had just acquired freedom when they moved out of their parent’s homes to the university.
Repheal liked her so much for those qualities and many more, and as the relationship gradually blossomed, he came to learn that Lucy was one of those ladies who’d come from a chauvinistic and misogynistic family. The ones that believed that a woman’s place ended in a man’s kitchen and even though they’d contributed to her being in the university, she was on her own.
This was a situation that caused Lucy a lot of emotional pain and her financial situation was also burdensome. Thus, Repheal and Lucy bonded beyond words. They became the only persons they had, sharing emotional and financial support. And after graduation, Repheal presented her to his father as his fiance, but the old man would have none of it.
Raphael and Lucy had fallen so much in love that he couldn’t understand his father’s demeanor. He therefore, decided to continue on to marry her without his approval, which led him to turn his back at them. Raphael became sick, but they said he must divorce Lucy if he wanted treatment. Lucy was 8 months pregnant and had decided to sneak away when she was knocked down by a car.

Raphael Stone
Raphael Stone was the main character of When We Meet Again movie. He was the apparent heir of the Stone family and they were the wealthiest family of Chicago. He was tall and handsome with all the good graces that followed only children who were raised in opulence. He was also about 23 years old when he met a lady named Lucy during his time at the University.
There were such obvious differences between him and this young lady, but Raphael wasn’t the type to disgust people with societal challenges. He wasn’t proud, pompous or looking to prove any points. Loving Lucy gave him contentment and after 3yrs of bonding as university students, his father and the Stone corporation refused him to be married to a woman who was nothing.
Lucy Stone
Lucy Stone was the female lead of When We Meet Again movie. Unlike Raphael, she was from an average religious family. The type that believed the world belonged to men and that women were only created for their pleasure. She was tall, very pretty and exceptionally intelligent. Meeting Raphael had happened coincidentally during a student’s fellowship one evening.
And ever since, life had become a little easier. He became her emotional and financial support and would gradually become her everything. They were so inseparable and because he didn’t have the need to search for jobs and start to make money before marriage, he would propose immediately after graduation, but the Stone family couldn’t marry a woman who was nothing.
Charlotte Stone
Charlotte Stone played the role of a supporting character in When We Meet Again movie. She was a little girl of about 7 years old and the result of the forbidden love that blossomed between Raphael and Lucy Stone. Lucy had given birth absent mindedly after she was knocked down by a car when she was about 8 months pregnant. She’d been declared dead by Mr. Stone himself…
Mr. Stone’s declaration was final because the hospital in front of which she was knocked down belonged to him. Following his declaration, Lucy became abandoned and because he’d taken Raphael with him, he didn’t know the man had lied. While he built a memorial grave, Lucy had lived and given birth in a vegetative state among the homeless, with a blood cloth in her brain.

When We Meet Again Episode 1:
Raphael had gotten married to Lucy damning the consequences. His father had decided to deny him his rights as his son and heir because he’d decided to disobey his wishes. This made it that after getting married to Lucy, he went from billionaire heir to a pauper. With the money he’d managed to save over the years, they rented a small apartment.
Thus, a man as wealthy as Raphael Stone started to live like an ordinary man. But they were happy, couldn’t ask for more or less…until he was diagnosed with liver problems and required a lot of money for treatment. He was calling the Stone family from his hospital bed, but their demands was that he divorced Lucy if he wanted anything there.
When We Meet Again Episode 4:
Lucy had just received a packaged she’d been paying for in installments and was happily heading back to her husband’s bedside when she started to overhear the hopeless conversation. He was seriously in need of surgery and the doctors had started to worry about his life. Even though this hospital belonged to the Stone Corporation he couldn’t access anything.
Lucy saw that it was she who was killing him by continuing to remain married to him against his family’s wishes. Therefore, she left him a note and decided to disappear. She was carrying a pregnancy of about 8 months as she exited the hospital building only to be knocked down by a car.
When We Meet Again Episode 8:
She was declared dead by Mr. Stone himself as soon as he arrived at the spot to check on his son. The situation had presented him a long awaited opportunity to finally rescue his son from a nobody. But she would survive the accident and because she wasn’t properly treated, she would go into a partial vegetative state.
It was among the homeless that she gave birth to her daughter 7 years ago. Her name was Charlotte and she became the breadwinner as soon as she could walk. Seeing as her mother couldn’t speak or move, the little girl started to pick cans and bottles which she sold to purchase food and medicine. But what happened after she stole something precious from Raphael Stone?
