Part 1: Rented a Billionaire Husband for Christmas Plot Summary
Eva Smith had left her little town house tonight to attend a new year’s eve party that was organized by the company she worked for. It was a nice mask party and she was so prettily dressed in a gold outfit. She’d drank quite a lot before the new year’s countdown could begin. Turned out a man wanted her first kiss for the year which was supposed to be given at midnight.
But she would scan the crowd to decide which among the men was more deserving and that was when she saw him. A handsome young man had just arrived the party, he was dressed in a tuxedo and his black mask made him even more attractive. Without thinking, Eva rushed forward, grabbed him and whispered to play along. With this man, she had her new year’s kiss…
A kiss that would consequently lead to a steamy one night stand in his hotel room without asking questions. The two adults had enjoyed a whirlwind, super fast fantasy and consummated it the same night. But in the morning, Maximus Harrison couldn’t find the woman who’d made his night. She’d only but disappeared, leaving behind one of her pair of earrings.

And both Eva and Maximus were happy to have met each other because they were respectively more than they anticipated. But why does she look so familiar?

Meeting the man or woman who was arranged by an agency to act as fake husband or wife was like having a blind date. Which was why both Eva Smith and Maximus Harrison were initially apprehensive. But after setting each of their eyes at the person they were lucky to be paired with, they breathed a little easier. To Eva, she’d expected nice but the man in her presence was gorgeous.
But why does it feel like a deja vu? Before their initial introductions, Maximus would receive a call that said the lady he was supposed to meet had canceled. If this wasn’t her, then who was she? Thinking he was still in charge, he would offer the sum of a thousand dollars per hour, but Eva thought the agency said it was five hundred a day. Now, preparations were concluded and the travel date was fixed. The two adults had also noticed the amount of chemistry between them and even though Maximus expected the lady to be gold digging, he would discover she was kindhearted.
