To survive in the wasteland, Arthur Morgan scavenged goods and was barely surviving with his former high school classmates Jack and Evan robbing him and bullying him. But this tormented underdog hero’s fate changed when he accidentally discovered a ring that was imbued with alien technology.
So when Arthur Morgan found Mary Linton and Karen Linton sold at a barter trade as a bundle deal, the system activated. That’s when Arthur Morgan realized he was now the host of this alien technology whose purpose was to bind him with compatible partners to preserve humanity after societal collapse.

So when Jack bragged about being the one to get money and girls first, calling Arthur a loser, Arthur stunned the bully when he bid more than him. Hence, Jack lost the bid, and Arthur won the Linton sisters.
