Part 2: High Society Movie Storyline Explained
High Society is a royal romance set on the beautiful island called Santenare, where the nation revolves around beauty and wealth. On this beautiful island, Adele was an orphan who hailed from Gimora, the ugly side of Santenare.
She had no family, not even a last name, as she grew up in the slums with a unique birthmark, was either twenty or twenty-one years old, and disguised herself as a man to survive the slums.
The only person she had in life was her best friend Clarissa. But Clarissa was sick, and to save her friend, Adele didn’t just work hard; she also borrowed money from Nino.
Nino oversaw all the shoe shiners in Santenare. Owing Nino meant a death sentence, as Adele had two days to come up with the money. If not, Clarissa would end up in a brothel while she would end up in the coal mines where the sun won’t shine.

Desperate to escape poverty and her life in the slums, Adele was looking at a chance that could change her life. And when she overheard the Duke Cesare Buonaparte needing a girl to sell to the Della Valle family, she volunteered to be the one.
Duke Cesare Buonaparte was a powerful heir, a womanizer. His family had a marriage pact with the Della Valle family. This meant as the only heir, he was bound to marry Lucrezia Della Valle, a beautiful bachelorette but a psychotic one. So his plan was to find a girl and introduce her as his long-lost sister. This way his fake sibling can marry Lucrezia’s brother, Lord Esdra Della Valle, and honor his family pact.
When he first saw Adele, dressed in men’s clothes, he refused to open his manor to the slum princess. But the minute she transformed herself, he was stunned by her beauty. Bonus, her birthmark held a strong resemblance to his, helping his story of a long-lost sister.
However, escaping Gimora was tough as Nino discovered Adele was actually a woman and set out to attack her and Clarissa, forcing the duke to intervene in the High Society movie. Before Adele became an official member of the Buonaparte family, she had to completely transform herself and get rid of anyone who could expose their secret.
From the way she talked to the way she dressed to the way she walked, Adele soon went from an orphaned slum girl to a royal before her official debutante. Adele’s only job as the duke’s sister? Seduce and marry Esdra Della Valle so she could help the duke escape his arranged marriage and his fate of marrying Lucrezia.

Though Adele was supposed to play his fake sister, the duke was drawn to her. Curious to know if she was a virgin as he set out to seduce her. But it’s not only Cesare Buonaparte who’s interested in Adele. As she makes her debut, even Lord Esdra Della Valle falls for her.
However, Adele’s growing popularity leaves Lucrezia Della Valle jealous. She wanted to marry Cesare Buonaparte, and the only one standing in between her plan was Adele. So Lucrezia turns into a psychotic villain, pulling off dangerous murder plans to get rid of Adele.
Can Adele survive the high society risks? And who would be the one to win her heart, the powerful duke Cesare or the charming lord Esdra?
