The Past

Palmina, Dante’s childhood best friend, saw it as a chance to torment Valentina. Half of the male attendees jumped in to humiliate Valentina for being married for, pointing out she wasn’t ‘clean’ anymore, when in fact she was still a virgin. The madness stopped when Dante arrived, punished them, and proceeded to the wedding as planned.
While his violence was terrifying, Valentina’s hope arose, settling with the thought that he might indeed care for her. But as soon as it arrived, the faster it disappeared when Dante made it clear he could never treat her the same way he regarded Carla. He reminded the line he set up and warned Valentina of the boundaries she should never cross.
