Isolde Laurence (Actress: Katelyn Rose Downey)
Bitter Burn is a phrase that describes how Isolde feels upon receiving a call from Father Mortimer. Even when she has married Mark, her Father and the church still regard Mark as a threat.
So, her Father wishes for her to weaponize the marriage. In doing so, she has to put her knife to Mark’s throat. Then, she would run away with his bodyguard, Tristan, to some unknown place.
At first, such things might give a betrayal vibe. Mark is particularly sensitive to this part, especially when he remembers how he and Isolde chose each other.
