While it might be impossible for someone who had never dealt with medical insurance to understand and/or give a proper analysis as to what goes on in the system, there have been movies, articles, many stories flying about concerning the unaccountability of the operations of medical insurance companies. But the sick and dying are usually inflicted with paranoia.
Beyond the Law would be a movie adding its voice to the injustice that flew about in the insurance systems of the imaginary America. The movie is an action fantasy quite alright, but there’s a saying which goes, “in the mouth of two or three witnesses, a matter is established.” If everyone is complaining about it, a change must be required and the Adjuster is ready for war!

Part 1: Where to Watch Beyond the Law
The Leone couple had encountered problems with child birth earlier in their marriage, but at the inception of their middle ages, they would be blessed with a son who they named Matteo. He was nineteen when his mother got pregnant again and gave birth to his sister, Emilia. Their father was already sick at the time and before Emilia was five, he would succumb to the illness.

Two days after Emilia’s fifth birthday would witness Mrs. Leone joining her husband. She’d only lasted almost a year of mourning after her husband’s passing. But no matter how long it took, the woman just couldn’t let her husband’s memory go. His death broke her and she’d almost swiftly followed. This situation left Emilia in the care of her brother who could have custody.
They lived in the town house they’d inherited from their parents. But apart from that, they’d been left with almost nothing. The Leone family wasn’t wealthy, they had no trust funds or business conglomerates. They were simply made of two old people belonging to the middle class. But Matteo got some education and was working to support his little sister… until she got sick.
The illness had them visiting different hospitals. And at first, nobody could appropriately diagnose what the problem was. Before six months into the issue, Matteo’s pockets had run dry and Emilia’s health was so demanding that he’d become unproductive at work. But during the last visit to the hospital, they would discover she was struck by cancer. A heartbreaking situation.
But one with a solution. While the Leone family had nothing, they had a health insurance which their parents used and passed on to their kids. All had been running smoothly, but cancer required expensive treatments. He was confident when he got his sister admitted to the hospital. But after applying to receive the insurance money that should cover her chemo, he was denied.

Sometimes, it is the relatives of a sick person who dies several times before the person themself. This was the situation Matteo found himself in. His sister was wasting before his eyes, coughing up blood and yet being denied. Matteo did everything he could, visited the insurance company and its CEO, yet nothing was done until Emilia died. Her death would lead to the birth of the Adjuster.
Part 2: Get To Know Beyond the Law Characters and Roles
Matteo Leone
Matteo Leone was the main character of Beyond the Law movie. He was a man of about 23yrs old and played the role of a heartbroken older brother who was seeking revenge. Even while his parents were still alive, Emilia, his sister was very precious to him. They’d been born to aging parents, which made it that Matteo became responsible for the family much earlier in life.
And even more so to his little sister. She’d been his responsibility from the moment she was born. He was her nanny, her playmate, her brother and after their father’s passing, he would become like a father to her. It was unfortunate that they’d also lost their mother, but Matteo was old enough by then and would have total custody of her. Watching her die felt like he’d failed.

Emilia Leone
Emilia Leone was the female lead of Beyond the Law movie. Even though the movie was not romantic and didn’t feature many female characters, Emilia played the role of the dying sister to Matteo Leone. She was a girl of about nine years old, who was struck by blood cancer and required chemotherapy. She was a junior high school student and the sole responsibility of Matteo.
Emilia reciprocated her brother’s love so much, he was her everything, especially after they became the only family they had after the passing of their both parents. Her illness would deny her a normal lifestyle and would eventually stop her from being in school all together. It could have been managed, she could have even defeated cancer, but her insurance was denied.

Randall Thornwald
Randall Thornwald was the second male lead of Beyond the Law movie. He played the role of the 54yrs old CEO of the health insurance company that denied Emilia’s applications. After he was turned down for the hundredth time, Matteo was shown the picture of the man and asked to take his complaints to the appropriate quarters. But he would run into him on the hospital corridors.
While approaching the spot where he was standing with his team, Matteo would begin to overhear as they discussed all that they stood to gain from the deaths of the people who depended on their services. Mr. Randall was so terrible that he would even challenge Metteo with, “what will you do?” The man had no care that a nine year old was dying and would be killed by the Adjuster.

Part 3: Captivating Highlights Of Beyond the Law Movie
Beyond the Law episode 2:
Matteo had arrived at the hospital with his sick looking sister. She was so pale and weak, but continued to stand beside him as he spoke to the nurse about their condition. The nurse demanded for their insurance certificate and would assign them a hospital bed before it was discovered that their application was denied.
On arriving the hospital and receiving initial treatments, Emilia was still showing signs of weakness and therefore chemotherapy was required. But the doctors couldn’t continue treatment without the assurance of payment. Especially as the medications and equipment required were very expensive. It would seem that nobody cared enough to want to save her.
Beyond the Law episode 5:
In trying to get his sister help, Matteo would start running around the hospital. He would visit every office demanding answers. He even went to the manager’s office with the complaint of the treatment failures his sister was encountering. But no matter what he did, they insisted they couldn’t do anything without insurance. Apparently, hospitals were money first before treatment.

When he turned red and started to weep and plea for his sister’s life at the matron’s office, she would point at the picture of the CEO of the insurance company that was supposed to help them. She asked him to take his complaints there if he had something to say. Matteo had no more money and the help was paramount.
Beyond the Law episode 9:
With his shoulders down in defeat, he walked through the corridors, heading to his sister’s hospital bed, when he identified the face on the picture that was pointed out to him. He was standing just a few paces away in the company of other good looking and well suited men. He started to approach the group and would begin to overhear them.
Mr. Randall Thornwald himself was pointing at an elderly woman who was sitting nearby with worry written all over her. This was a woman Matteo had earlier spoken to and she was mourning the death of her husband which was brought about by the denial of the same insurance company. Mr. Randall smiled as he said he made over 200 thousand from his death and anticipated more of she herself died.

Part 4: Where to Watch Beyond the Law
Beyond the Law movie is action packed. We would find that Emilia died about a week after Matteo visited Mr. Randall at his office asking for a help he didn’t get. Matteo’s heart was broken for his little sister and he would lift up arms while seeking revenge. His mission was funded with the $185,000 he was gifted by the insurance company after Emilia’s death. This movie is showing only on ReelShort.
