Ellie was the only daughter and child to the Lane family. But Mrs. Lane had arrived in the marriage as a single mother. She had a son which Mr. Lane accepted as his own. But even though the boy was older, the fact that he wasn’t the family’s pure blood continued to keep Ellie as the sole benefactor of the Lane’s family wealth. A circumstance that many were very unhappy about.
Everyone knew this family, they’d been in wealth for many generations. Grandfather and grandmother Lane had given birth to only one son. He was Ellie’s father and the first heir before her. Because of how rich the family was, Mr. Lane never had to work for a day. But such circumstances meant he couldn’t authoritatively lead the family without his parent’s input.

Annie was a girl on a mission in the Lane immediate family. And as soon as she gained entry, she would use everything to her advantage. Her mission was to take everything Ellie owned, including her dresses, her parents, her boyfriend, her inheritance and even her life. Having been almost discovered by grandmother Lane, Annie had decided that getting rid of Ellie was better.

Arriving in juvibile jail was a shocker for Ellie Lane. Especially as she had not committed any crimes. She would keep her head down and try to wish her three years sentence would end very swiftly. But while she continued to hide, the other girls would find reasons to quarrel with her. Little did she know that Annie had hired them specifically to make the place hell for her stay. She was supposed to remain unbroken…
But the girls constantly gathered around and beat her on regular basis. They did this until they cut off her arm. It was now three years and she’d served her sentence in hell. Her parents had done well to send her step brother with a car to bring her home. Today was Annie’s birthday and Ellie’s grandfather had refused to come if Ellie wasn’t going to be present. They’d lied to him about her.

There was her mother seated in the parlor waiting for her. You would think she was worried about what her son had done in abandoning the suffering girl by the prison walls. She wasn’t even allowed to speak her mind or air her views. And if Annie made the slightest accusations, they were swift to enforce judgement without asking questions. Ellie was still catching up with what remained of her family members when her 10yrs long boyfriend arrived to take Annie for a drive. Wow. Even her boyfriend had switched his affections and Ellie was left to suffer alone.

They would make excuses after they discover this, but just as she’d lost her arm, Ellie had lost the ability to forgive. There are wrongs in this world that should never be forgiven and truth is, it is okay to not forgive.
