Samantha plays Iris Astor, the sole heiress of Alec Astor, the world’s richest man. But with her father’s disapproval to marry the man she loved, Iris cut ties and gave up her title.
Married to Dorian Bates out of love, Iris Astor did everything to be the dutiful wife. She worked three jobs and paid the house mortgage and all the household bills. In He Said the Baby Was Too Expensive, Reg Rozee plays Alec Astor, the richest man in the world. He’s the CEO of Astor Dominion and father of Iris Astor. Furthermore, he never accepted Dorian Bates. Doubting his ability to take care of his daughter, Alec forbade his daughter from being with him.
However, this only had Alec losing his daughter over a boy. But three years later, Alec Astor was ready to take his daughter back and give Dorian a chance with the couple all set to welcome the baby. But Alec didn’t expect his daughter’s life to be controlled by the evil mother-in-law.

Part 2: Introducing The He Said the Baby Was Too Expensive Plot
Iris Astor, the richest heiress, was in love with Dorian Bates, a nobody. Her father, Alec Astor, opposed their marriage, refusing to give him a chance. However, Iris didn’t want to listen to anything against Dorian. She believed Dorian loved her truly and not for her money.
With that, she left home and cut ties with her father, who disowned her. For the next three years, Iris Astor struggled, juggling multiple jobs, supporting her husband with his startup, and handling all the bills, car, and mortgage payments.
Pregnant with her first child, Iris Astor was happy. She still loved Dorian despite her being the one putting in all the work. With her having placenta previa, there came the risk of bleeding out. So Iris Astor, to make sure the birth of her baby would go without any trouble, chose the best private hospital, which was equipped to handle her risky pregnancy.
As she was admitted to the hospital, her husband was busy fetching his mother, Tessa Bates. One look at the private hospital, and Tessa quickly concluded that Iris was trying to drain Dorian’s finances. She couldn’t care less about Iris’s risky pregnancy given her condition. Instead, he called her dramatic and said every pregnancy comes with complications.
