Hold Me in the Dark plot begins with Isla Moore getting dumped by her boyfriend Eric after three years of relationship. Eric cheated on Isla and called her boring, making her lose confidence in herself. After an embarrassing run-in with her new boss, Christian Graves, Isla Moore finds herself meeting CG, a dom who was looking for a new sub.
To avoid revealing her identity, Isla Moore introduced herself as Grace, but CG—Christian Graves uncovered her identity as he refused to take her as his sub.
Disappointed and drunk, Isla Moore, at a welcoming party for her new boss, got into an argument with her supervisor, Stephanie, who had bullied and disrespected her supervisor.
Things further escalated when Stephanie pushed Isla into the water. Not knowing how to swim, Isla Moore was saved by Christian Graves. His body felt similar to her dom CG as Isla got closer.
