Part 1: What is In the Palm of His Hand Movie all about?
Matteo Franconi was the first son of Don Franconi, the godfather of the Franconi mafia family. He was the apparent heir of the family and was allowed certain privileges. But he was such a bad son that he decided he couldn’t wait for his father’s passing to assume the role of president over the Franconi family. He started to run a side show with the support of his men.
He had also managed to get the support of Donny. Donny was the regional Capo of the Franconi mafia family and a loyal servant of his father. It was due to the magnitude of his loyalty, including having been with the family for many years, that he was so elevated. But Matteo needed his help to wipe out rival families without his father’s consent so as to take over territory.
He would convince Donny to murder the bosses of two families and as a reward, he murdered him in cold blood and in the presence of his men. This was necessary because Matteo needed to not only over rule their rivals, but to also usurp his own father. The murder was cold blooded and too jeopardizing, and would eventually lead to a cold war. Matteo was injured and on the run.
His motorcade had been hit and he’d managed to survive. Many of his men were dead and the few who survived like him were scattered about, running for their lives. Matteo ran into an alley and found a spot to hide. It was at this moment that the innocent Shelby Yates, a brilliant and beautiful student of the city college, was passing by. She’d entered the alley at the wrong time…
And had just passed by two armed men who were carrying guns and bleeding from visible injuries. She could tell that the men were looking for something or someone and had just committed a crime. She was marveling at her ill luck when two pair of bleeding hands grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her away from sight. The stranger was weak and asked for help.
And because miss. Shelby had earlier noticed the men with guns, she complied without further questions. She would successfully rescue a man she should have left to die and her reward was that he fell in love with her. Now, Mr. Matteo Franconi wasn’t a man to take no for an answer!

Matteo Franconi had started running his own show even with his father still alive. This meant that he was importing and distributing the same contraband that his father dealt in at the same places where he sold. This should have been frowned upon as many dealers had died for lesser offenses, but he was the apparent heir of the Franconi family and everyone knew not to mess with him.
But he wasn’t satisfied. It was part of the game to dominate territories and he had interest at quarters above his league. He therefore, recruited his father’s most loyal servant to infiltrate the competition and assassinate their leaders. Problem was that Matteo was ungrateful enough to murder the man who’d risked his life and reputation for his course. And a cold war was unavoidable.

His motorcade was hit and most of his loyal men were either dead or on the run. The situation left him exposed and hiding at unusual places. He was also injured and the blood became a trail for his assailants. Imagine that the mighty Matteo Franconi, boss of the Franconi mafia family was now in desperate need of help. And whether by dumb luck or arrangement, someone came by.
He reached out and grabbed the petite young lady who’d managed to be at the right place but at the wrong time. He was so weak that he was struggling to remain conscious and would ask for her help. He’d also discovered how beautiful and was taking every chance to kiss her. But she would overlook his demeanor as she did offer him the help. But Matteo Franconi had fallen in love.

Miss Shelby Yates had simply agreed to help a wounded young man escape some men with guns. It was public knowledge that the mafia ruled the city of Florida and the Franconi family name was famous. But little did she know that the man she’d just rescued and received his kisses was the same as Matteo Franconi, the boogeyman. She’d given him a bandage before leaving…
But nothing prepared her for his actions the following morning. Unbeknownst to Miss Shelby Yates, Matteo Franconi had instructed his men to dig into her identity the moment she turned her back at him. And by the following morning, he’d not only become the chairman of the city college where she studied, but had come visiting bearing a ton of gifts and proposing marriage on the spot…

Matteo Franconi had fallen in love immediately after spending a few minutes with Miss. Shelby Yates. And without her consent, had discovered where she studied and decided to also take her over. Her father was an academic doctor who lectured at the same college where she schooled and she also had a childhood boyfriend, whom she dreamed would become her husband some day.
She was sitting in class listening to her father’s lecture, when a disturbing noise started from the hallway. This noise progressively reached her classroom and to her chagrin, it was Matteo in the company of his men. They were carrying gifts and pointing guns at everyone. He’d come to see Shelby Yates, to have her accept his marriage proposal on the spot and wasn’t willing to accept no for an answer.
It was on this day that miss Shelby understood who he was. Beyond his pretty features and large bank account, he was a notorious felon and a murderer. She would quickly refuse his proposal. But he started to threaten murdering someone on the spot and when it didn’t work, he decided he would kill himself instead. The implication of killing himself was that his men would destroy the school….
It was a tight corner, therefore what do we expect? Especially as rumors of the new development had found its way into her boyfriend’s ears and he’d made the mistake of leaving his class to burst into the situation… especially as her father, Dr. Yates, wasn’t about to let his daughter accept a felon for a husband and especially as Matteo Franconi refused to stay away?
