Xiaoci is the lead female protagonist of Love’s Silent Scar. Despite her frail appearance, she’s a strong woman whose sole desire has always been to protect the people she loves.
Her reason for walking away from her relationship with Qin never had anything to do with money or being in love with Lin’s heir. She always loved Qin despite his poverty. She loved him so much that she donated her kidney to save his life and got pregnant with his child.
After being threatened with Qin’s life by the Lin heir, Xiaoci was forced to make a radical decision, even if her actions hurt the man she loved the most.
To make sure Qin gave up on her, she went to extreme lengths and stabbed his hand. Later on, when they meet again, Xiaoci hides her daughter’s paternity from him, allowing Qin to believe that Pei Heng, the girl’s doctor is also her father.

No matter how much Qin tries to hate Xiaoci, he fails miserably. He loves the woman with all his being. This is why his actions always betray his words. He may hurt Xiaoci’s feelings by calling her names, but soon after, he’s all over her, kissing her lips.
The same thing goes for Xiaoci as well. She may claim she wants to stay away from Qin, but deep down, all she wants is to be with him. This is why she eagerly agrees to stay at Qin’s house when Nian Nian moves in with her father.
