Esther York was the only product of the marital arrangement between the first son of the York family and the second daughter of the Miles. In their case, the Miles family had only agreed to the union because Esther’s mother insisted she was in love with the young man. This was because while the Miles family happened to be wealthy, Mr. York wasn’t much to write about.
This woman had taken her inheritance and happily followed her husband without anticipating the amount of betrayal that became her reward for marrying lower than her standards. Having kids proved a little difficult and she focused her attention in building the company of her dreams. And five years into the marriage, with the Miles family support, her company started to thrive.

While she hadn’t taken over as CEO of York Corporations, she was a graduate of Business administration and worked for a multinational, where she earned six figures a year. Like her mother, she had a very tender spirit.
Esther loved her father very much in the midst of all his shortcomings: making the house uncomfortable in less than a month after her mother’s death, letting the woman sleep in her bed, use her things and wear her clothes, bringing in another daughter same age as herself. But unbeknownst to her, she was heading to the same direction that had her mother murdered.
Jerry Banks
Jerry Banks was the first male lead of one last heartbeat if you never heard movie. He was about 30yrs old, very handsome and excessively opportunistic. While he was secretly dating Lisha York, Esther’s step sister, he continued to fulfil the York’s family demands when he continued to see Esther. Just like the York family before his marriage, the Banks were paupers.
But the squabble in the York family promised an opportunity for a change of social status. Therefore, he was able to lead her on until the engagement ceremony day, when Lisha decided she couldn’t bear to watch him marry Esther. She played the role of a wicked, conniving and opportunistic step sister to Esther York. She was the daughter that accompanied her father’s new wife when he brought her into the York family mansion in less than one month after her mother’s death.
Lisha was sensitized about her parent’s status and desires, she was gearing up to becoming CEO of York Corporation and couldn’t wait for the time to come. Because of this aspiration, she had no worries about getting educated or any forms of endeavors to better her life.
