There’s No Home for the Broken Hearted plot follows Bella Brown, the youngest daughter of Jonathan and Karen Brown, who was born for the sake of their eldest daughter, Pearl. Bella was born to save Pearl’s life, who had a rare blood type. Even though Bella and Pearl shared the same birthdays, the Brown family always forgot Bella even existed.
The only time they cared was when Pearl needed blood. But Bella thought at least her boyfriend Dominic cared until she realized he was using her to get to Pearl. So with days left until her eighteenth birthday, Bella secretly joined the Marine Corps. She was done being the afterthought of her family, who couldn’t care less if she died.
