A certain miss Sylvia Parker fell in the third category and too young to want her professor movie, heralded the challenges people like her were prone to encounter during the course of College. From combining academics with different shifts at menial jobs, to experiencing the cruelty of life a little too early, and to desiring to be with men who were much older and therefore capable of alleviating their wretchedness.

Part 1: Too Young To Want Her Professor Plot Summary
Sylvia was born to Mr. and Mrs. Parker, who had a challenging marriage relationship. While her mother was the breadwinner, her father took to drinking and vagabonding. But her mother was caring and focused of raising her daughter right, since she was her only gain in the catastrophic marriage.
All was going fine until she developed cancer and died just as Sylvia was graduating high school. Before her passing, the family had tried everything they could to rescue her, which had resulted in spending a lot of money, including her daughter’s college funds. Sylvia was an exceptionally brilliant student, which earned her a full college scholarship, but without accommodation and feeding.
Her mother’s death pushed her father deeper into drugs and alcohol. He was a prominent member of every crack house around the city and couldn’t afford even the tiniest responsibility. Sylvia who was only 22, was not only burdened with college, but also needed to care for her father’s needs. Because of this, she took a job in a strip club as a waitress.
She would attend her classes during the afternoons and continue down to work in the evenings. Other students began to make jests of her, not every rich kid could understand the struggles of poor students. But Sylvia didn’t mind, she simply found ways to remain academically sharp and still be able to function outside the class room.
She was having an issue, a persistent crushing on the professor. And because she worked double shifts, combining school with work, she was constantly sleepy during classes. When she dozes off like that, her dreams were usually of the professor abandoning lectures and making intense love to her. Gradually, this demeanor began to be evident to other students.
And unbeknownst to her, a sexual pervert who’d once been to juvenile prison was desperately crushing on her. He was one of her classmates and while no one else cared about the brilliant girl with a scholarship who liked to sleep in class, Philip monitored her every move and wasn’t comfortable with the way she looks at the professor.
He would waylay Sylvia with the help of other jealous students. They locked her in the ladies room and encouraged Philip to molest the stripper while they stood watch at the door. But what happened when the professor busted in at the nick of time to rescue Sylvia?

Sylvia was sitting in class with the rest of literature students and the topic was Shakespeare. While she was dozing, she was still able to answer the questions that the professor threw randomly about. This was one of the attributes that secured the professor’s attention, without his knowing that what Sylvia dreams about in his classes were of him naked.
He approached the sleepy lady, woke her up and warned her about wasting her scholarship. The other students laughed, but Philip noticed the sexual tension between the professor and Sylvia. The rumors were already about that Sylvia was a stripper, which was a lie at the time because she was just a waitress.

When Sylvia arrived home after a stressful day at school, she discovered the table littered with warnings of quit notice if they didn’t pay the accumulated rent. She was living with her father, who was her only surviving relative. And had been giving him some money to pay the rent with, including a part of her scholarship funds.
But unbeknownst to her, Mr. Parker had been using the money to pay for illicit drugs, alcohol and women. When she complained with a broken heart, he broke an empty bottle and made her understand how much he needed money, how he would kill himself if he didn’t get any and would take her with him in death.

Sylvia had worked at the strip club for over two years by now. She had a friend who was a single mother and one of the strippers of the club. Seeing as her father had squandered a shit load of the money she needed for school and the eviction notices on the table, Sylvia arrived work today with a broken heart. Turned out she wasn’t the only one who’d broken something, as her stripper friend had turned up with a broken ankle.
Because she needed money, she decided to step in for her friend. By the time she arrived on stage, Philip the perverted was on the front row, and so was the professor. Being shamed, Sylvia ran from the stage. But someone had paid 50 grand for a private time with her, they said he knows her from school, was it Philip or the professor?
Part 3: What to Expect from Too Young To Want Her Professor Ending
The question remains, what do we expect from too young to want her professor ending? We can all agree that Sylvia’s situation is excessively relatable and could even be triggering to most females who are college or university graduates. Sometimes, it’s not about what the guardians could provide as most times they don’t provide enough to cover most needs.
Majority of women who graduated from higher education have had to take menial jobs such as Sylvia, the female lead of this movie did. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with waitressing at a strip club or even stripping as she was later forced by needs to do. But just as in most cases, discovery can be dangerous… Sylvia found her crush sitting on the front row just as she steeped on stage.
Now, this could go two ways: in all honesty, a man who does not understand would turn their backs and christen the affected lady a whore. This is usually emotionally excruciating, especially if the affected lady cared about people’s opinions more than she cared about funding her needs. Or, they could understand and be supportive or even try to help in the ways they could.
In too young to want her professor movie, we would find that professor Lawrence decided to stand by Sylvia. He understood her predicament and decided to be the kind of crush who would volunteer to help. He displayed this demeanor when he continued to rescue Sylvia from the pervasive Philip, who wouldn’t give up on stalking Sylvia. But we can’t help but wonder, did love grow between the two?

Too young to want her professor movie holds a lot of lessons for young college and university students. Many students drop out of college because of lack of funds, many others rely on an accumulative student funds, which ever one, nobody can carry another person’s needs if they’re not family. Sylvia Parker showed an exemplary life, when she could take on any jobs to achieve her goals. While dating a much older man who was her professor could be frowned upon, her approaches to her academics is quite emulatable.
