When fate forgets to lie movie was set in the imaginary paranormal world of foxes. The regions were remarked as black, brown, red or white Gumihos. Gumihos are human beings who look exactly like humans do, but carry the fox trait within them. In the face of a threatening challenge, they could physically shift into a fox, a Gumiho, with spiritual powers.
Like the werewolves of the paranormal genre, these foxes have fated mates, hierarchical governments, moon goddesses and territory barriers. It would seem that they’re governed by almost the same rules that govern the werewolves. Rules like going rogue, mating only to one fox.. and even more so, intimidation and recognizing higher authorities were also common.
In this world, a young lady was born to the Fox Lord of the White Gumihos. Her name was Rin and she was fifteen when a war broke out among the different Gumiho territories over which would be headquarters and house an emperor over them all. A situation that would make other territory leaders Lords and only the one emperor as king. It was chaos all over the territories.
Rin was sitting in her father’s palace when the black Gumihos attacked the whites. Because it was not only a surprise attack, but also a betrayal, the whites were not ready. They would destroy the community and take Rin into captivity. This was one territory that should not have attacked the whites as their leader was Rin’s uncle. Hyun Dong-joo
Hyun Dong-joo was the male lead of when fate forgets to lie movie. He was the son of the former Lord of the black Gumihos. But his father had incurred a fatal injury during the last battle at the brown Gumiho territory. This situation had managed to elevate him as Lord and his first decree was to attempt to acquire the position of the emperor by defeating the strongest region.
It was here that his fox ability sensed his mate and he had followed the trail to discover she was the daughter of the black Gumiho Lord. He had captivated her at once and returned with defeat back to his territory. And unfortunately for him, a peace treaty was announced before he could be ready for another attack. Gu Seol-hee
Gu Seon-hee was the second female lead of when fate forgets to lie movie. She was the pretty daughter of one of the chiefs of the black Gumiho. She was not only pretty, she also had class and a strong root in the black Gumiho territory. In recent times, Hyun Dong-joo had proposed and started planning for the marriage ceremony, where she would become the Queen.
She was always wicked to Rin and never out of punishment for the slightest offenses. This was even worsened by the fact that Hyun Dong-joo always sent for Rin when ever they were getting intimate in his private chamber.
