A general saying goes that when trouble sleeps, it is pride that wakes it up. In the movie, You come for the king of guns you best not miss, trouble in the person of a self-retired American sniper had chosen to disappear from the grid, desert the army, never kill another human being and to lie low in a small village. But pride would go probing when trouble came calling all around.
It was guns akimbo, critical contests and eventually an outright shootout. Working as an ordinary handyman, hiding in the shadow of a dead brother, taking care of his children and fulfilling his promise was harshly interrupted, when the different men of Texas decided the Valentine children were undeserving of the little they inherited from their regularly absent father.
