In the You Fired the Backbone of Detroit movie, Tyler Harlow plays Hank Walker, a middle-aged mechanic working at the Webster company. He was the backbone of Detroit, building cars from scratch. You Fired the Backbone of Detroit plot follows Hank Walker, an engineer who was a loyal employee of the Webster company who never left his job despite getting better opportunities that could have saved his wife. He chose his town, his people, and his company he built from the ground over money and titles.
But after forty years of long loyalty to the Webster company, Hank Walker gets fired when Webster is taken over by a big tech company. Despite his warnings about the finicky machines, which needed a trained person to know how to keep up the maintenance, the new managers don’t care as Hank is kicked out.
Jobless and barely getting by, Hank Walker is kept from his granddaughter by his greedy daughter, who wanted Hank to continue giving them his paychecks. So Hank Walker started to collect scrap as he accidentally entered the rival car company Mach 15, which is having trouble fixing a critical error in the assembly line.

Just as Hank offered to help to fix the big issue at hand for free, and within minutes, he was mocked and insulted until the CEO, Emily Wolff, who had been trying to get Hank to work for her, finally came in. With Emily revealing Hank is the best engineer, the one who could resolve their problems, all eyes that doubted Hank Walker are proved wrong.

A Webster Motor Car’s faulty brakes killed college students in a deadly explosion, leading to an investigation. With scandal leaving the Webster company on fire with potential lawsuits, Tom Norris had no way to figure out what the issue was. But Hank Walker, who designed the car back in the day, offered to figure out what the issue was when the million-dollar AI diagnostic system couldn’t.
With high-minded experiences lacking, Hank Walker used his old experience as he cracked the issue and finally saved millions for Webster in a heroic move in You Fired the Backbone of Detroit.
Episode 2
Hank Walker met with rival Mach 15’s CEO, Emily Wolff. She wanted Hank to fix a one-of-a-kind collector item for her nephew. She offered him $100,000, but Hank offered to fix her nephew’s car for free, calling it an easy fix.

As Hank left, Emily Wolff chased after him as she offered him to come work for her. Mach 15 was developing a new supercar called the Silver Lynx Model A. With Hank being one of the best engineers who was treated poorly at his company, Emily wanted Hank to join her. Hence, she offered Hank Walker a starting payment of ten million dollars.
