It is 2042 and humanity has lost billions of people, but many have stepped up to the responsibility of the times and handled the ecological crises and ethical population growth. But how did we get here? Ten pioneers of the upside-down family, ten adults supporting one child, raised a daughter, Sage, in the face of doubt and apathy. Though everyone around them said one person can make no difference, or they should blame corporations or government, they chose to do the right thing anyway. The hard thing.
