In Djinn Under Contract novel, a man from Boys Maryland named Stephen Parrish had reached a place of no return. He was suffering in abject poverty. This was the only way of life his entire family knew. In poverty they had married, had children and grew a considerably large family. It was a lineage of abject poverty. Like his father’s before him, he’d also gotten married.
They had a daughter and they lived in the shack he inherited from his parents. This was Maryland, a city of opportunities, where many told their success stories. But Stephen and his little family survived only on what they could get in a day —a typical hand to mouth lifestyle. As His family’s breadwinner, he’d gone fishing this morning because there was no food at home.
When it seemed as if the fishes were running the other way, he started to pray to his God for provision…because this was the only way he could put some food on the table for his wife and daughter. Stephen Parrish did catch something that morning, but it wasn’t a fish. It was an amazing looking lamp, at first, he thought it was gold and picked it up to examine it.
