Lion, aka Bobby Woods, was called the King of Golf after making history with his three back-to-back wins at the Grand Slam. While the world cheered for this legend, Bobby’s world took an unexpected turn when his wife went into labor and suffered an amniotic fluid embolism.
By the time Bobby made it, his wife Claire was dead. While chasing titles and wins, Bobby Woods lost the love of his life, destiny playing its cruel joke. As Bobby held his daughter for the first time, he decided he was going to be there for his daughter, refusing to fail her like he had with his wife.
With that, Bobby announced his retirement, not caring how breaking his contracts would leave him bankrupt with hefty penalties. Quitting golf, Bobby Woods ended up at the August Golf Club working as a groundskeeper for Mia Collins. Six years later, the king of golf, who once made history, was now living an ordinary life as a groundskeeper. Yet he was content knowing he was a present and dutiful father to his beautiful daughter Eleanor as he refused to return to golf.
However, Bobby’s decision changed when his daughter Eleanor was bullied by a rich kid named Rosa. Eleanor, with her exceptional art skills, had won a spot at the prestigious art school. But Rosa had bullied her, hit her, and tried to force her to give up all because Eleanor’s father was poor and a loser.
The school failed to stand up for Eleanor, letting the bully walk away with no consequences. Poor Eleanor, who didn’t want to cause any trouble for her father, wanted to quit going, as it would cost them $70,000 in tuition.
Desperate to give his daughter a better life, Bobby Woods decided to return to golf. Out of retirement, Bobby Woods was ready to reclaim his lost glory and prove to the world why he was called the Lion.

Episode 1
Bobby Woods made history with his signature shot, with the ball on the water, and won the Grand Slam, defending his title. He was called the greatest of all time, and even Gabriel Hale, the Golfer’s Association president, wanted to celebrate his buddy, the king of golf’s win, with a drink.
However, Bobby’s wife, Claire, was in labor, and her condition was critical as he rushed to be by her side at the labor. However, it was too late, as Bobby Woods lost his wife and was left with their daughter, Eleanor. In a devastating moment, he read his wife’s last letter and was inconsolable as he held his baby girl in Ace the Golf King’s Reconquest movie.
Knowing he wasn’t there for his wife because he was too busy chasing trophies and titles, he had failed as a husband. But Bobby promised not to do the same to his daughter as he announced his retirement, not caring about how he would lose it all & go broke.

Six years after his sudden retirement, Bobby Woods was working at a golf club as a groundskeeper. The rich guests tried to bully him, but luckily the owner of the golf club, Mia Collins, supported him.
To teach the rich jerks a lesson, Bobby hit the ball back in a perfect shot with a flagpole. Impressed by his skills, Mia Collins asked him to present her golf club at the US Open. Though Bobby refused, he soon changed his decision for the sake of his daughter.
