Part 1: Get to Know The Genius Returns Main Characters
1.1 Who is Ada Selivis?
Ada Selivis is the biological daughter of Harry and Emma Selivis. Despite being born into the noble and wealthy Selivis family, Ada was separated from her parents and was raised in an orphanage. It wasn’t until her junior year of high school that Ada was brought back home by her real parents.
But the Selivis family was not welcoming towards Ada. They had already found Ada’s replacement, their golden child Camilla Selivis, the adopted daughter who they claimed to be a genius. This meant Ada could never be an equal to Camilla.
On the contrary, Ada was a self-made and independent Ada Selivis who, despite hailing from a rich family, had single-handedly supported herself by working multiple jobs. This math genius, however, lost her life after being falsely framed in a cheating scandal. But when life threw her a second chance, she first cut off her biased family and started her game plan to expose the true cheater.

Camilla Selivis is the adopted daughter of Emma and Harry Selivis. She was no math genius, but she was a number one copycat who had established herself as a genius after copying her sister, Ada Selivis.
But copying wouldn’t get her far, as Camilla Selivis, the fake wannabe who had it all handed down by her adopted family, lacked what’s important, and that was real talent. She was all bluff and was also two-faced and jealous of Ada.
Camilla Selivis, to get her way, had falsely set Ada up as a cheater and had turned the world against her. But ultimately it was her own true face that was going to be exposed as a cheater.

Part 2: The Genius Returns Movie Summary
The Genius Returns movie is all about Ada Selivis and Camilla Selivis’s face-off in the National Spacecraft Elite Competition. Ada was the true genius, but she fell into Camilla’s trap and was branded as a cheater. In the end, Ada Selivis lost everything—her reputation, her family, and her life.
But Ada Selivis got a second chance as she was sent back in time before the competition started. To not lose control of her fate like last time, Ada Selivis decided to cut off the Selivis family, who had never made her feel wanted, and expose Camilla Selivis, the true cheater.
As the competition began, Ada Selivis tried everything to not let Camilla get her way. Attempting to submit her test without answering, switching between challenges, and even not writing a word, Ada was not letting Camilla win over her. Yet each time Camilla Selivis copied her test plan word by word, they were 100% identical, and everyone blamed Ada as a cheater.
That’s when Ada Selivis decided to beat Camilla Selivis in her game by playing with her mind-reading skills to show her that her fake genius act wouldn’t last forever.
Part 3: Watch Ada Selivis vs. Camilla Selivis Face Off in The Genius Returns Movie
Episode 5
Ada Selivis wanted to take control of her life and fate. Last time she lost control when she was accused of cheating. So she decided to choose Challenge B, a test that no one had dared to try before. But before Ada could say her choice aloud, Camilla Selivis beat her to it.
Camilla Selivis, who had stolen Ada’s plan, mocked Ada about copying her. But Ada Selivis picked Set A as she wished Camilla good luck. Soon Ada got to work as she decided on her test plan using enumeration, geometric proof, and algebraic manipulation.
With Ada choosing set A, Camilla switched hers as well to set A and revealed her test plan, which was identical to Ada’s. The crowd was impressed with Camilla’s talent, but Ada could only wonder how Camilla was able to steal her exact plan.
Episode 6
Camilla Selivis, after copying Ada, deliberately asked for her test plan like it was a group project. To the audience, Camilla looked like a generous girl who was a genius. With Ada’s plan cracked, she could only recall what happened the last time Ada was caught in a cheating scandal.
Unable to figure out what tricks Camilla Selivis was using to copy her, Ada decided to stop answering. This way she wouldn’t be the victim of the cheating scandal, and Camilla would have nothing to copy from as The Genius Returns plot got intense.
Episode 10
Camilla had copied Ada. The solution steps were the same as Ada’s. With Camilla Selivis submitting her test first, Ada again became the suspect of plagiarism. The past was repeating despite Ada having done everything to prevent Camilla from copying her.
With Ada accused of cheating, she decided to try set B to prove her innocence to the crowd who were calling her a cheater. But this time around, Ada wanted a seat far away from Camilla.
The Selivis family, siding with Camilla, claimed Ada to be a cheater as well. Not wanting Ada to get away, Camilla announced she wanted to try Set B too to prove herself. With that, Camilla Selivis challenged Ada to solve the new set on stage for the world to see with full supervision in The Genius Returns movie.
Soon the test began again with Ada and Camilla facing off against each other. To let the truth unfold itself, Ada Selivis decided not to write a word. But Camilla, reading her mind, copied Ada’s answers. This left Ada confused about how Camilla was able to match her answers identically again.
Part 4: Ada Selivis or Camilla Selivis—Who Wins In The Genius Returns Final?
Ada Selivis, the real daughter of the Selivis family, looked like trouble with her family accusing her of cheating and siding with their golden girl Camilla. But soon the Selivis family realized that they had failed Ada. From Ada living in a horrible room condition, she had put herself through college by working multiple jobs and without any help from her family.
On the other hand, Camilla Selivis had gotten the best tutors with everything handed down to her by her adopted parents. With realization, the Selivis family wanted to make amends only after Ada could apologize to Camilla.
But in The Genius Returns ending, the final showdown between Ada Selivis and Camilla Selivis proved the truth once and for all. To prove Camilla was the cheater, Ada had the NAA professor drop off her answers as a ploy but with two planted mistakes.
At the global competition, Camilla, confident with her copied answers, completed her test and announced herself as the winner. Soon Ada Selivis completed her test, but she was yet again accused of being a cheater. But upon inspecting closely, Ada’s answers were better than Camilla’s fake answers.
Soon Camilla was revealed as the cheater after copying Ada’s planted answers, and the cheater finally got cheated by Ada, who set her up so perfectly that there was no escape. With her name finally cleared, Ada Selivis had successfully defended her innocence as she got accepted to NAA.
The Selivis family regretted favoring Camilla and wanted Ada to come back home. But it was too late for their regrets as Ada Selivis bid them goodbye.
Overall, Ada Selivis showed how truth can’t be hidden forever and it would eventually make its way out. Camilla Selivis had the whole world and her adopted family fooled. But ultimately her lies caught up, and she was exposed.
