Part 2: Bound by the Past Storyline Explained: A Dark Mafia Romance
Dante Cavallaro lost his wife, Carla, to cancer. To take over the Chicago outfit, he needed a wife. Instead of picking a virgin woman, he chose Valentina, a widow who had lost her husband, Antonio. Carla was the only one he ever loved, so his wedding to Valentina was purely a business decision. He was willing to give her everything except his love, still haunted by Carla’s death.
However Valentina was desperate to find love, even if it meant breaking Dante’s ice Cole exterior. After all, she was stuck in a loveless marriage with Antonio, a gay man. So keeping secrets of her first marriage, she married Dante, ready to win his heart only to discover he was still haunted by his past.
