To retaliate against the bullying of the football team, Kaden devises a nasty prank that led to Donovan getting seriously injured and him becoming a waterboy. But as they are forced into proximity, Kaden starts to feel something for him. Can the waterboy win the star quarterback?
The Waterboy Plot Breakdown
In the Waterboy full movie, Kaden Russel, the Student Council President, has an irreconcilable feud against the whole football team. Not only are most of the members homophobic, but they also made fun of him one time in class.
Kaden dozed off while waiting for the next class. During his sleep, he was having an intimate dream with Donovan Miller, Maple High’s football captain and star player. And for some unknown reason, he calls out for his name while asleep.
The whole team hears it and teases him—especially when they see he got a boner. Donovan also chimes in on the teasing. Since then, Kaden and the team members wouldn’t miss a chance to bicker with each other whenever they met.
The feud escalates when Kaden, as the Student Council President, has to propose a budget for the entirety of the school’s clubs and organizations. Kaden cuts off a portion of the football team’s budget and allocates it to his own club.
Donovan confronts him, demanding that he give it back to them and also raise the funds. Kaden disagrees. He negotiates to give back the budget that was cut, but he will not increase it.
For personal reasons, he needs the club’s funds to organize projects that could help him increase the value of his resume for his Harvard application. Donovan wants the same for his team.
The two argue for a long time, but neither wants to yield. The Waterboy ReelShort movie takes its stake higher when Donovan gets injured in one of Kaden’s pranks. To avoid getting expelled, he agrees to be Donovan’s waterboy.

Part 2: What Is the Ending of the Waterboy Movie?
The Waterboy Ending Revealed
The Waterboy ends with a kiss and a dance shared by Donovan and Kaden at their homecoming party after winning against their biggest rival, Viewmont High.
The more Kaden spends time with the team, the more they realize his potential in making strategies for the game. In the decisive battle between the Maple High Team and the Viewmont Team, Kaden creates a strategy that will secure their win—but at the cost of Donovan’s time to showcase his skills.
Despite that, Donovan gives up the chance to show off to the Harvard team’s recruiters and let Kaden’s strategic mind shine. Kaden also realizes Donovan’s sacrifices.
In return, during the homecoming kick-off, Kaden holds Donovan’s hands as he announces to the whole team about his sexuality and his relationship with him (Kaden).
Love wins in the Waterboy ending when the whole team celebrates the relationship between Kaden and Donovan during their homecoming party. The team finally accepts Kaden, thanks to the great contribution he made during their final game. In the end, Harvard made an offer to both of them.

Can the waterboy win the star quarterback? Kaden absolutely did! He not only snagged the star quarterback, Donovan Miller, but he also got an offer for Harvard with his sweetheart.
After the winning moment of the football team against Viewmont High, the Student Council announces the nominees for the homecoming Queen and King. Donovan is nominated with his former teammate, Justin, and Kaden.
Justin tries to provoke Kaden, but he is only met with the latter’s sassy remark. Feeling insulted, he reveals the secret relationship between Kadena and Donovan. When he thought they’d chicken out, Donovan proudly admits he’s gay and he’s with Kaden.
He also points out that Maya Delacroft, the cheerleader captain, has been blackmailing him about this. In the Waterboy end, Maya was suspended and Justin became an outcast within the team and the school.
Part 3: Highlights of the Waterboy Full Movie
Kaden’s Prank
After the confrontation between Kaden and Donovan in the locker room about the team’s budget, the former couldn’t shake off his irritation. He suddenly thinks of a prank: spraying rainbow colored paint on the football team’s uniform.
Because of their ruined uniform, the football team gets into a fight with the opponent team leading to Donovan getting injured in the Waterboy movie Episode 5. Feeling guilty, Kaden admits to his mistake.
The coach wants him expelled, but Donovan intervenes and appoints Kaden as his exclusive waterboy.
Donovan’s Confession
Justin just won’t stop bullying Kaden. When he fights back, Justin would just order half the football team to restrain him. Maya even joins them. Just when Kaden thought he’d be doomed, Donovan came in to rescue him.
However, instead of thanking him, Kaden rushes to the bathroom. Donovan follows him. He tries to apologize for the team, but Kaden refuses to accept it until Donovan confesses his feelings for him in the Waterboy ReelShort movie Episode 12.

Happy Ending Dance
