This ReelShort adaptation starts off right when eighteen-year-old Lexington Hall, Hollywood’s famous youth actor, on the night of his biggest career moment announced he was quitting Hollywood for good.

Having started his career at age three, Lexington was tired of being used as a tool to fame by his mother. Tired of the spotlight and desperate for a normal life, he moved to a small town named Maple Creek. But his plan for a quiet start took a chaotic twist when he got into a hostile car accident, destroying the truck of an ordinary farm girl while trying to escape his crazy fans.

The farm girl in question is Stevie St. James. She was a country girl who dreamt of becoming an actor in Hollywood to honor her late grandmother’s final wish. At first she mistook Lexington for an entitled and spoiled Hollywood bad boy after the accident. But when he saved her school auditions by becoming her acting partner, Stevie realized there was more to Lex.

So when they got cast for the school musical, Stevie offered Lexington a spare bedroom on her farm. It was supposed to be a simple living arrangement to help the Hollywood superstar taste normal life. But when sparks fly, Stevie and Lexington give in to their true feelings as they find love.

Just when Stevie thought she was living her dream, dating the Hollywood star while chasing after her acting dreams, she’s hit with harsh reality when Lex suddenly abandons her. All because Veronica Hall, Lexington Hall’s mother, threatened to ruin Stevie’s dreams in Hollywood and go after her home.

Having been used as a financial asset his whole life, Lexington refused to watch his mother destroy Stevie’s Hollywood dreams. Though Lexington is forced to walk away, the high school couple reunite in a fake relationship when Lexington returns, asking his ex to pretend to be his girlfriend in a PR stunt.
