How Does Joanna End Up Giving Birth To Louis?
In this animated movie, Joanna never asks to be The Dragon King’s Forbidden Maid. In addition, she also never wishes to give birth to her Queen’s man.
Yet, she ends up this way after she fails to deliver the holy water vial to King Atlas’ room. According to another maid, whose name is Clara, that was her task before King Atlas’ wedding to Queen Sophia.

A few years after Louis’ dramatic wins against Sophia, he gets to meet his younger brother. He is the second dragon heir, and he’s inside Joanna’s womb. Now, Joanna also becomes the only Vesperia Queen whom Atlas and the people acknowledge!

The Queen Mother’s presence in The Dragon King’s Forbidden Maid is proof that everyone uses authority in different ways. She and Sophia might rule the Royal City of Vesperia, and she once supported Sophia in her marriage to Atlas.
Yet, they respond differently when they are in the authority position. Unlike Sophia, who abuses her power as a Queen, the Queen Mother keeps her head cool.
She can show support and warn Sophia when she has gone off-limits in her so-called disciplinary actions against Joanna. At the same time, she is also aware of how Sophia and her female servants try to kill her.
For the Queen Mother, her first heel-face turn moments begin when she sees Louis for the first time. At this point, she might only acknowledge him as a flower tender in the Tower of Oblivion. Yet, something about him reminds her of Young Atlas, and, in the end, she proves herself right.
Louis is not only her grandson, but Atlas has also declared him the future king of Vesperia. Her advisor, Pippa, even teases her for crying seven times out of happiness.
We believe the Queen Mother deserves to see her son’s happiness alongside the new Queen, Joanna. After all, they are the ones who acknowledge the fairies, dryads, and other beings in the kingdom.
Unlike Sophia, whose so-called Saintess power makes the flowers die, they make them grow. Such a restoration is something that the Vesperia Kingdom has needed for many years!
