He dreamed of it as though it was the only thing that mattered. Everytime he answered a conjure, he desired for his contract to wrap up with his freedom. Unfortunately, no one had been morally good enough to understand his story. They exhausted their chances solely for their own interests, prolonging Elijah’s misery. It crushed his hope and little by little, he began to accept his fate.

To make use of them, he summoned Elijah once more, and told him everything about his final wish. In exchange of his freedom, he needed to protect Christine like his true pair.
Elijah’s consent set him up for a journey where his values, his views of love, and his patience would be tested in The Great and Powerful Genie Animation. He certainly underestimated Christine. He deemed her as someone so inviting like Steven, he thought she’d eventually accept him into her perfectly curated world.

As if calling another man’s name wasn’t enough, Christine intensified Elijah’s heartbreak in Episode 11 of The Great and Powerful Genie. Elijah caught her and Tony inside a room where it was clear Tony was harassing her. Elijah stepped in, gathering his power to punish Tony when Christine demanded him to stop.
Instead of siding with him, she chose Tony’s narrative where their affair was justified. Elijah did his best to reason out with her. But every argument led to one truth—Christine never loved him or she even wanted him to be her husband. She spoke it aloud, causing Elijah to retreat, and once again, walk away in utter silence.
Christine surprisingly felt remorseful and she went after him.

Christine’s mistake of siding with Tony led her and Elijah into a heated argument. It escalated into Elijah, finally voicing out his decision to divorce her in Episode 13 of The Great and Powerful Genie Full. Upon hearing his wish, Christine laughed at him, mocking him for having such audacity to initiate it first.
Elijah listened as she rambled on doing everything on her own, knowing for a fact he played a huge part on his success. She denied it. She insisted it was all her hard-work, ignoring the tiniest possibility of his contribution because of her ego.
Just as she walked away, she tripped on her own, causing Elijah to still be concerned, and carry her to the bed. Would this be the last time he’d show her mercy?
