Evan appears to be a plumber who left school to support his ailing father, but in reality, his father is a wealthy tycoon. During a repair job, he meets Serena, a school beauty, and after learning she's been disowned by her family, he offers her shelter. Then, the two decide to pretend to be a couple to handle their respective issues. Meanwhile, Tyler, who has feelings for Serena, retaliates by targeting Evan and undermining Serena's family business.
