Marcel Wallace, the male lead of Once the god of ball always the god of Ball movie, was a basketball prodigy. His talent was discovered in senior high school where he played for the basketball team. He was signed by a club named UBA immediately after graduating and thus, his professional career started. His relationship with his high school sweetheart had blossomed.
And they would get married immediately after she graduated from college. She was his biggest fan, his main woman and he loved her very much. She was named Regina and never missed a game that Marcel was playing in. They were blessed with a son about a year after the marriage. They named him Mars Davis and she took him along whenever she was going to see Marcel’s games.
This was the peak of Marcel Wallace’s career, he’d been christened “The Sniper” and this season had witnessed it being chanted from the crowds. When he flew in the air and grabbed the basket by the tip, his nicknamed deafened his ears. He was the legend everybody talked about and enjoyed every second of it. This was the league’s final and UBA team was playing against Scorpions.
They’d experienced a great season thus far and the finals was going so well with UBA team leading. A rival team member named Tyler Murray was serving the opening ball, but was belittled by the manner in which Marcel snatched the ball. He would swear to end the young man’s career and made do with this treachery that same evening by murdering Regina Wallace.
Marcel was broken. basketball had taken everything from him. This was going to be his last game. He’d promised his wife just about thirty minutes ago that he would retire so they could stay home like a proper family. He was also petrified, she’d been carrying the three months old, Mars Davis in her arms when she was stabbed to death. What if something happens to his son?
That, plus the fact that he was in no condition to take care of anybody at that moment. His wife’s demise had shaken him so much so that he’d disappeared entirely from the spot light, burnt his trophies, refused an award from the basketball federation and eventually decided to give his son away. Marcel Wallace
Marcel Wallace was the male lead of Once the god of ball always the god of Ball movie. He was in his prime at the age of twenty five and the captain of UBA basketball club. This club was the leading champion in the federation basketball league. He was so exceptionally talented that he could make impossible moves. He was also a good husband and father to Regina and Mars Davis.
But this was until the tragedy that ruined his life. Before his very sight, someone had stabbed his nursing wife to death and with her child tied to her chest. To endure his loss, Marcel had disappeared from his career, taken to too much drinking, given his son to his sister in law and eventually started to work at a drive in, making and selling fast food. Gradually he was forgotten.
Tyler Murrey
Tyler Murrey was the second male lead of Once the god of ball always the god of Ball movie. He was also a great basketballer, and played for Scorpion club. He was also in his prime at the same time when Marcel Wallace was the champion of basketball. Tyler had gotten so jealous of Marcel Wallace’s fame that he’d started figuring ways to destroy him and would murder his wife.
While Marcel gave in to mourning his loss and developed certain lifestyles that was detrimental to his career, Tyler prospered in the games and before long, Scorpion basketball club started to lead the leagues. And because Marcel Wallace had fallen off the spotlight, Tyler started to grow rapidly in his career. He would be retained in the club as an assistant coach twenty years later.
Mars Davis
Mars Davis was the third male lead of Once the god of ball always the god of Ball movie. He was born to Marcel and Regina Wallace twenty years ago, during the time his father was the sniper of basketball. But Marcel had decided it was best to give him to his wife’s sister. While he’d grown into a proper young man, he’d also taken to basketball just like his father. He was talented.
And was signed by Lightening basketball club. This club was as young as the basketballers that played for it. This was twenty years after Marcel Wallace quit his career, so, new generation clubs had risen. Lightening Basketball club was trying to qualify for the league and was scheduled to play against another new club named 99ners… and Mars Davis was only one man.

Marcel and Regina Wallace had arrived at the indoor stadium where the UBA basketball club and the Scorpions were to play. This competition was for the final attempt at who would become the federation basketball league champions and the spirits were high, adrenaline pumping, the crowd on fire and the commentators motivated. It had been a great season, UBA club was confident they would take home the trophy. Marcel, known as the sniper, had started the game with giving his wife kisses after promising that this was his last game.

He was hoping to retire and return to a normal, undisturbed lifestyle with his little family. Tyler Murrey would vow in the anger that accompanied defeat, to end Marcel Wallace’s career. This was supposed to be basketball, winning or losing wasn’t supposed to be personal. But this young man from the rival club, would hire the assassin that murdered Marcel’s wife. His life was ruined and he took to drinking. He also abandoned basketball, hid his identity and disappeared.

Marcel Wallace gave his son away in the fear that something could happen to him under his watch. After all, his wife had been murdered before his very sight, at the after party following the team’s championship. He grew his beard and started to live like the homeless. But he was contacted twenty years later to become an assistant coach in the club where his son was the captain.
