Mr Simmons, who was Piper’s father, had encountered a lot of terrible experiences over the past few years. He’d lost his wife to childbirth and she’d been the one keeping his sanity in check. Her death had sent him to depression and back to those negative activities from where she’d rescued him. One of them was his gambling issue and he’d accrued a debt of two million dollars.
He was an easily identifiable customer at one of the five star hotels and casinos belonging to the Bellford family. This was a highly respected family, regarded the wealthiest and most influential in the city of Ohio. Apart from luxury hotels and Casinos, they also owned other well to do recreational businesses around the country. Like Mr. Simmons, Mrs. Bellfort was a single parent.
She’d lost her husband in an accident about five years ago, and ever since, she’d been dutied upon to manage the family’s assets and raise her twins alone. While the family maintained a respectable image in the public sight, they secretly involved in heinous crimes to protect their business reputation. When the solution of signing a marriage agreement came up, Piper never thought that such handsome boys who were of the same age as herself were the subjects. She’d allowed herself to imagine the worst.
But of the two brothers, Drew was the most caring, kind, accepting and welcoming. He was the captain of the hockey team at Isleboro Academy where they went to school, and had many trophies lining his showroom to prove this. It would seem that they shared a chemistry that would eventually trigger jealousy in the minds of those who believed he was their right to keep.
Noah Bellfort
Noah Bellfort was the second male lead of My Secret Lover Is His Brother. He was the second half of the Bellfort twins and the one who was constantly in the habits of disagreeing with their mother. Even though they were twin brothers, Drew and Noah were neither identical in physical appearance nor in characteristic behaviors. Unlike Drew, he was reluctant to accept the change.
While it would seem that the new development was god-sent to Drew, Noah, despised every second another woman, apart from his mother, spent within their home.
